Burke foresees the events that lead the world into tackling Climate Change. He imagines a future where man has already been through the effects of global warming and reflects from that time on the crisis and the solutions that worked.

Using "virtual reality" computer simulations, social journalist James Burke traces the Earth's history of ice ages and warming trends, and presents several possible scenarios caused by the greenhouse effect during the 1990s to 2050.
