Along with Görünmeyen adam Istanbul'da (1955) ("The Invisible Man in Istanbul"), this was one of the first examples of Turkish science-fiction films, and the first film to deal with aliens and UFOs.
The film was considered lost for decades, until a surprisingly clean copy turned up in the early 2010s.
According to an interview with Özcan Tekgül, the budget was so low that the actresses playing the alien women had to wear their own jewelry and their own boots on screen.
