- Two child girls wake up in the night alone, to find their parents killed. The traumatic experience, and the reclusive life they lead when they are adults, make them hate sex, and live a life of murdering.
- José, a tired farmer, and his younger wife Maria are having supper, and a couple's discussion, when they are interrupted twice by a young man asking for water, and then the same young man and his father, whose truck has broken down near by. The men end up drinking a cup too much after the meal, and playing cards, while the young man has sex with the dejected housewife in the cellar.
However, the husband finds them, hits - and kills - his wife, and then assaults the young man. The trucker pulls a knife, and stabs the husband to death, and then he and his son run out of the place - never to be found.
In the darkness, a child's voice calls out for her mother.
25 years later, Maria - blonde like her mother was - and her younger brunette sister Rosa, live a secluded life taking care of the family farm. Even the aunt who took care of them for a few years died several years ago - and they gray unsocial, particularly averse to men when they must go to town shopping.
Men, such as the greengrocer who buys vegetables from them, feel rejected and say that they are "bitches".
A young Drifter is caught spying around the isolated house. While Maria gets his attention by getting topless and fondling her breasts facing the window, Rosa goes around with a big kitchen knife, and marches him forward into the kitchen. The two women play with him, who seems incapable of resistance, strip for him, menacing him and even cutting him a bit, before sending him away and laughing out loud on the porch, watching him run away.
A travelling salesman convinces Rosa to try on sexy lingerie, and from that she quickly escalates to a strop show and sex - during which she carves him up with a big kitchen knife. The sisters bury him in the farm premises. On Maria's bidding, Rosa desecrates the burial by urinating on it.
A gray haired Businessman and his secretary and lover, Susana Morales, have a breakdown of their new car. He thanks heaven that there is a house nearby to call for help, and it happens that it is the sisters' house. While Rosa is showing the cellar where he shall sleep overnight, Maria is finding out that Susana is a lesbian who has to endure her boss's sexual attentions for the job. The three women sleep together in the large bed.
Next morning, while the Businessman uses Maria's car to go fetch a mechanic for his car, Maria and Susana have sex - and Maria shoots Susana's vagina with a small revolver just when she was about to orgasm. The two sisters hastily cremate the body on the disposal's furnace.
The Businessman returns, empty handed: the only mechanic in town is ill, so he has to borrow the car again, and go to a further village for another. Rosa seduces him, to the point he attacks her, and while he lusts over her body, she uses that long knife again, killing him.
The Police Commissioner passes by, and inquires about a Businessman whose car has been found, without the owner. Maria tells him she has not seen him, and the policeman goes away.
One night, Maria burns her vagina with a branding iron still hot from a blaze on the open ground near the house. She collapses - and wakes three days later in the hospital, where a Doctor and a Nurse take care of her.
She's released from hospital but, instead of Rosa, she's accompanied home by her blonde cousin Luisa, whom she has not seen for some twenty years. Luisa has to break the bad news to Maria: during her stay in hospital, Rosa has been assaulted, and killed by someone.
Luisa seems to be eager for sex, and masturbates while riding a horse. Raul is paying a visit to the farm, and sees her partial nudity. He introduces himself saying that he was the man who found Rosa's body, and accepts her invitation to the house - knowing that Maria is absent. Lucia and Raul have sex on that large bed. He leaves just before Maria gets back, but she has seen his truck, and questions Luisa about it. Lucia is not answering straight, and Maria is unhappy about it.
[The two women kill and abuse a redhead woman - a scene used as the VHS cover art, and missing in the known copies that run at 81 minutes.]
Shortly after, Maria finds a man's cap in the bedroom. Lucia had simply found it "over there", meaning behind the bed and the wall, and placed it on top of the table. Maria is sure that Rosa had hidden the hat before dying, and recognizes it as belonging to the Drifter. Her cousin suggests they take the case to the police, but Maria is bent on personal vengeance. .
Some days later, the Drifter returns - to rob food from the kitchen. But the two women were hidden, jump on him again with the big knife and take him outside. Maria is finally happy, and her cousin also feels well after bleeding the man to his death. Both have a drink, and several more until two bottles are empty. They go to sleep quite drunk.
Next morning, Raul returns and finds the Drifter's corpse tied to a tree. The tree to which Maria used to speak, as if it was her murdered mother.
