I just watched an episode of this show, where one of the kids got bitten by a dog. There were several glaring errors in the discussion of Rabies. First, they took a saliva sample from the bite wound, to test for Rabies. That's not possible, but I was willing to go along with it since the professor seems to have advanced technology that's not available yet. However, at the end of the show, after they caught the dog, the VET says that the dog will be tested for Rabies and if he's positive will be treated. There is no treatment for Rabies-- it's fatal! Also, testing for Rabies involves euthanizing the animal and examining the brain. The dog was clearly wearing a Rabies tag, so they could have just ended the Rabies question by saying he was vaccinated, now that they were sure he was the right dog. Also, the avoiding dog bites part of the show was just glossed over. All they did was tell Kyle not to run. This could have been handled better by then telling him to back away slowly and avoid eye contact. Basically, they didn't educate well where they should have and gave incorrect information in other areas.
