Taye Diggs, Jamie Kennedy, and Anthony Anderson in Malibu's Most Wanted (2003)

Goofs

Malibu's Most Wanted

Edit

Continuity

When B-Rad's gang comes to save him towards the end of the movie, Monster's armor disappears in one shot, and her hand positions change as well.
When B-Rad arrives at Shondra's house after the kidnapping, the spinners are clearly spinning when they pull up in the driveway. When they get out the spinners are completely still.
Right before Gibbons's secretary informs him that Tec is on the line he leans back on his desk and knocks over the American flags, in the next shot the are upright again.
B Rad is eating lunch and a can of Pepsi is poured into a glass for him. The can is put down on the table with the ingredients showing. The next shot shows the can turned around so you can read "Pepsi".
When B-Rad first sees Shondra and has the day dream at the coffee-shop, Monster disappears from her seat.

Factual errors

California gubernatorial elections are held in November, which Bill Gluckman's aide says is 8 weeks away, meaning the story takes place sometime in September. But later in the rap club, the emcee says that this is black history month in response to B-rad's use of the N-word. Black history month is In February.
Mocha's gun is not a musket - it is a blunderbuss.

Revealing mistakes

After B-rad "holds-up" the Korean grocery store, he is outside with the two characters that were hired to watch him. The rapper with the handgun is threatening B-rad by shoving the gun into his chest. You can see when the rapper pulls the gun away from B-rad's chest, and the camera is facing the rapper, that the guns barrel is bent, showing it is fake.

Errors in geography

The gunfight in the park supposedly takes place in South Central Los Angeles, with a view of the L.A. skyline in the background. But in fact, there is no view of the skyline of Los Angeles from anywhere in South Central. The view of downtown L.A. from that angle can only be viewed from Echo Park.

Plot holes

Sean James and PJ seem to have no problem acting like "gangstas" during the anti-crime PSA, which Gluckman's manager said was shot a month ago, yet somehow neither one of them remembers these mannerisms or characteristics one month later when asked to do basically the same thing.

Character error

When Sean comes back to the house with the gangsta gear, PJ says, "Aight coo", when they're still supposed to be proper speakers.
