Russians try to deal with western genre schemes and partly succeed. Definitely, this one is first russian giallo. By no means a masterpiece but better and more original than last italian giallos (almost blue of new wave, nonhosonno of good old wave). Watch it for the most bizzare and unusual dream sequence of recent times. Soundtrack contains some cues to Goblin style.

Couldn't help falling asleep. Just finished watching it, can't stop yawning, sorry. I couldn't wait for it to end for two reasons: first - because it was soooo slow and boring, and second - to see if my guess on ending was rite, and what a surprise! - it was. What Roman was thinking? Let me guess: my father is a famous Russian actor, why not to try and make a movie instead of music videos or TV ads, something artsy, and lets call it a thriller, people like thrillers, don't they? The thriller part, well, it didn't work on me. Big blobs of blood made me nauseous at the most. The beginning was promising though. I even liked it. That's why I kept on watching, hoping for something good to come out of it.
