Plot

The plot follows the story of Zona Zamfirova (Katarina Radivojevic), a local rich man's daughter, and the vicissitudes of her affair with Mane (Vojin Cetkovic), an ordinary goldsmith. As it was undesirable for the daughter of a rich man to marry a craftsman, the two are at first divided, with the possibility of Zona marrying the son of other rich people, Manulac. Everything is, however, changed as Mane organizes a successful conspiracy to keep Zona for himself.—Ana

The end of 19. Century in a Serbian town Nis: Zona Zamfirova is about to marry. Her father, Hadzi Zamfir is the richest and most outstanding citizen at the city of Nis. The nut/mother and a handful of aunts undertake strategically sophisticated walks with Zona, in order to present the beautiful Zona to the focused target audience, the wealthy young men of the city. But best tactics for the marriage market must fail, if powerful feelings come into the play. Zona and Mane fall in love. As a woman hero, simple craftsman Mane is not the good portion, whoom wishes himself Hadzi Zamfir for his daughter. In the long run Happy ending is inevitable: Mane contrives a skillful plot, which forces Hadzi Zamfir to accept him as a son-in-law. It cannot be coincidence that straight this romantic Love story was promoted to the most successful film of the crisis-vibrated region. Zona Zamfirova addresses today with a dear history from a past, sound world the longings of humans of Serbia. The film tells of a small city Nis, in which still everything has its order and everyone its firm place. Even attaching human connections follows fixed, simple rules. The fact that in this idillic past the things function so reliably does not mean that by a fairy tale world without current reality purchase is told. Mane reaches 19 in the small world. Century with a rumor so surely its goal, how it would create today in "the global village" with a medium campaign... A masterpiece film over a beautiful dear history in a beautiful world...
