Helena Bonham Carter and Michael Keaton in Live from Baghdad (2002)

Goofs

Live from Baghdad

Edit

Continuity

In the scene when Ingrid and Robert are sitting at the bar, the current angle shows Ingrid's fingers by her mouth. In the next shot, they are on her neck. In the next shot, her fingers are back by her mouth.
When Robert and Ingrid are sitting in the bar talking, Robert lights a cigarette. When we next cut back to Robert, his cigarette is unlit.

Factual errors

The incident where Iraqi soldiers took newborn babies out of their incubators and left them to die turned out to be a hoax in order to generate support for the Persian Gulf War. This was exposed in 1992, a decade before the movie was released.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

Although based on a true story, the film is not a documentary. Many events have been condensed or eliminated and even some characters have been condensed or eliminated.

Anachronisms

When Robert is giving cash to the front desk clerk and the Egyptian translator in 1990, he is giving them the new U.S. notes which were not introduced until 1996.
When Iraqi troops are seen looting Kuwait, some carry Pioneer Electronics cardboard boxes with the new corporate logo as introduced in October 1998, not the previous logo which would have been in use in 1991.
