No point committing a 2000 word review here - no one's ever going to read it!
I had the good fortune to see this film at an Asian film festival in Sydney many years ago and I was struck by its sincerity and really quite professional production values.
Historically set during the reign of the Japanese King Ko-Jong (please, don't ask me the dates?) a ground swell of political unrest sees the emperor come up with his own "dirty dozen" to head off down Korea way to stamp their authority therein. These guys however, reckon without the son of the local martial arts teacher, who besides being an expert dancer is no slouch at Taekwondo either and is more than a match for them.
Recommended to any student of serious Asian film.
