Kathy spills a significant amount of gas at the station when filling the canister, however, when she drives off, there is only a very small amount on the ground.

When Behrani and Esmail are talking in Esmail's bedroom, the pillow shifts position from horizontally behind the lower lumbar part of Esmail's back, to standing vertically up to Esmail's shoulders, then back to the original horizontal position behind his back.

When Lester's wife gets out of her car and starts attacking Lester, she leaves the car door open, and it closes by itself. A few seconds later, the car door is open again.

The morning after Lester and Kathy arrive at the cabin, Kathy emerges from the front door and her long hair is tucked into the back of her shirt. A moment later, it is loose.

The county may have the right to attach property to satisfy a business tax lien, but the process is nothing like in the movie. There is a boom mic clearly visible in numerous scenes near the beginning of the movie - almost distracting, it is so visible, unless this has been corrected before DVD release.

It is true that this film has made for English-speakers audience based on the book with same type of audience; But if an Iranian is grown up in Iran, they do not use the Caspian Sea at all as Behrani does, but Mazandaran sea or Khazar Sea.
