After the minisub (being piloted by Protas) is attacked by the eels, we see several shots of a computer screen reporting the damage done to the sub. Among the messages shown is the text "Loosing pressure". The correct spelling is "Losing".
"Launch Control Center" is misspelled as "Launch Control Cener".
When a torpedo is launched, the head of the Hubris science complex, who is addressed as "Commander" (a naval rank) informs the United Nations Command Center buy saying, "Bird away." Torpedoes are always referred by the slang term "fish" by naval personnel, while non-naval military personnel refer to guided missiles by the slang term "bird."
In several scenes characters in a submarine are shown using voice communication with the outside world. This is not possible, subs must either surface to communicate or use low frequency radio waves that can only transmit one-way text. In either case, they would be using encrypted military radio frequencies, and not phone calls.
In the opening sequence someone says they were hit by "an EMP pulse," which would mean "Electro-Magnetic Pulse pulse."
