At the beginning of Lizzie's performance at the award show, there is no glitter on her stomach. Midway through she has glitter.

When Ms. U is going to check on everybody and goes into Ethan's room she goes into room 102 when they have been in room 103 the whole time, she comes out of room 103 though on both the opposite and wrong side of the hallway.

At the awards show performance, in the close shots of the audience, the audience members are clearly sitting in rows of benches that rise as they go further back. In the larger shots of a massive audience there are no benches, just a "sea" of fans.

At the award show when Lizzie is getting ready to sing, the sound person goes down the stairs twice.

During the final performance, the backup dancers were obviously choreographed to dance with only one lead singer although the number was supposed to be a duet for Isabella and Paulo.

The award show at the end of the movie takes place in the Roman Colosseum. The Colosseum has only 1/7 of its floor covered by a sand-covered wooden deck and there is seating for only about 700 people. Also the Colosseum is only 35% accessible and people have not been allowed at the top of it in 1500 years. So there could not be such a massive stage and audience in the Colosseum.

When Lizzie and Paolo run up to watch the fireworks, you can see their tape marks on the ground.

The plane lands in Rome at dusk, but when they get to the hotel and into their rooms the sun is already rising.

In the first shot of Lizzie riding the scooter through Rome with Paolo, the camera truck is reflected in her helmet.

The German airline Lufthansa has no direct flights to Italy from the USA.

When Lizzie tries on the dress that has the electric light wrapping around her the plug / outlet is clearly the type that is used in the USA 2 prong with one ground. In Italy they use 220 volt outlets which are round with 2 holes on either side.

Gordon tries to cover up for Lizzie throughout the movie. Near the end, Gordon tells Mrs. Ungermeyer that he was the one sneaking around. Gordon was with the field trip the whole time, so how could Mrs. Ungermeyer believe that Gordon was sneaking?

A couple of the characters in Rome state that the graduation fiasco was on CNN and other news networks. If Lizzie was on the news in Rome, wouldn't people recognize her and know she's not Isabella?

The character of "Kate" is considered to be the most popular girl in school. However, at the time of the films release (2003), dressing like the first lady in the 1980s was not considered popular.

When Paolo and Lizzie go to Franca's place to choose a dress, Lizzie tries on a dress that has a magazine cover for a hat. The magazine is the edition that Gordo has just seen the two girls reading with Lizzie on the cover. But when he shows Lizzie the magazine when she gets back to the hotel, she looks astounded that she is on the front cover of a magazine, but wouldn't she have already seen it (when she was at Franca's) before Gordo shows it to her?

When Lizzie finds out she looks like Isabella, every pedestrian nearby swarms her, starstruck. In the rest of the film, no pedestrians notice or care about her.

When Ms. Ungermeyer is telling the kids about the Trevi Fountain, she tells them it took 100 years to build. It only took 23 years.

At graduation, Kate shames Lizzie for wearing the same dress she apparently wore to the spring fling. However, in the Lizzie McGuire (2001) TV series, Lizzie was banned from attending this dance.

Ethan says that the streets of Rome were ruining his skateboard wheels, so he switched to a pair of 'Birdhouse Pterodactyls.' The Birdhouse Tony Hawk Pterodactyl is a model of skateboard, not wheels.
