Twisted entertainment? At first blush, yes. It is a skin flick of the Clockwork Orange genre. Three booze motivated "bad boys" including Carl and Gil bent on cheering up the broken-hearted Jeff, who was dumped by his girl. The three carry out escapades at a local laundry.More than dirty laundry is aired."Bad boys" begin by engaging patrons in chitchat(often personal, hurtful chitchat). As the reaction of the patrons turns to dislike then fear, the abuse escalates to physical attacks. Carl has a knack for picking up on victims'Achilles heels. The cast of victims includes a bawdy call girl; a lesbian couple; a former athlete(now a paraplegic in a wheelchair);an ornery midget and a few non-macho men. Everyone is a target. Nothing is sacred. Carl's hunger to expose everyone's weakness tests the limits of all, including his own buddies.
All in all,it's really a "dude movie",though beneath the abusive tough-guy story, the conclusion of the film makes you see that who is tough, and who is weak is not always evident. You will see who is really washed, dried and SPUN out.
It's a dude (not prude)DVD. There is a 30-minute trailer of between scene interviews. Think twice about your next visit to the laundromat. I hear Carl is out on parole.
