Thought provoking

The writer did a great job on this movie. In the end you could come to your own conclusion. But both sides were well laid out. The photography in this movie was astounding. I have never seen a movie that did such a great job of portraying the Saskatchewan landscape. The singing was fantastic. The acting was a touch cheesy, but these are not well known actors, and because of that they did a great job. I would love to see more movies by this writer. Here is the greatest thing of all...it was a Canadian movie, with great music. How often does that happen? We discussed later whether or not the pastor should have gotten involved in the damn issue, but in a small town like this one, a pastor couldn't help but get involved. It is only in the big cities that a pastor should not get involved in local politics. On the other hand, perhaps they should have tried to address the problem of the people without work. They too were part of the valley. All in all, a very well done movie.
