elvisjd71029 December 2003
Warning: Spoilers
SPOILERS!!!!!! El Juego de la vida is a Telenovela(Tv Series) that amazes everyone, it tells you the story of four young girls(17 years old): Lorena, Paulina, Fernanda and Daniela. They are classmates and the are best friends too. This Tv series is all about passion and love for soccer. Although the four of them are good friends they are different from each other. Lorena(Sara Maldonado) who is the leading role character of this story is a very smart and well behaved girl who lost her father, He was killed in front of her(He was killed by two men sent by Augusto). She had a boyfriend whose name was Mariano(Mauricio Barcelata), he seems to love Lorena but Tania(Maki) who`s Lorena`s friend is stealing her boyfriend and She does it, Mariano broke up with Lorena, she goes running and crying when suddenly she felt that someone has touched her, it was Juan Carlos(Valentino Lanus). he saved her life, she almost got killed by an automobile. they both looked at each other, but Lorena couldn`t think in anything else, except her broken relationship with Mariano. Juan Carlos told his friend Pato(Patricio Borguetti)that he is love with Lorena(Love at first sight). Paulina(Ana Layevska) is Lorena`s best friend and she is the craziest one, she dates a lot of boys until she married Ezequiel(Raul Araiza) who only married her bacause of her money. she finds out and got divorced. At the end she ended up with Pato. Daniela is the shy girl of the group she has never have a boyfriend bacause of the bad relationship she has with her father, he doesn`t let her do anything, but she got in love with Toño(Mike Bigio)they had a great deal of problems but in the end they ended up together. Fernanda(Margarita Magaña) is the one who loves soccer the most, she is in love with her best friend, Diego(Luciano Seri)but he is dating Gina(Ingrid Martz) who does anything to separates them, at the end Gina figured out that her mission is impossible and let them be happy. Fernanda ended up playing in the Mexican national team. Lorena and Juan Carlos had a lot of problems throughout the Telenovela because Tania got involved in the relationship. They broke up and Tania started dating Juan Carlos, he does this because he thinks Tania has a tumor and she will die so Tania`s mother told him to make her happy at least the last days of her life, Juan Carlos also think that Lorena is dating another guy, that was what Lorena told him, and the reason is the same Lorena thinks Tania is sick and she doesn`t want her to suffer the last days of her life. Lorena and Juan Carlos find out that it was a lie invented by Tania and Augusto, Tania`s step-father who is Juan Carlos`s uncle, he wants the money that Juan Carlos`s father left him, Juan Carlos doesn`t know anything about this, he thinks his father left him when he was a little boy and that he was a common man not a rich one who used to own part of a Chemical Lab. The other part of the lab was owned by Lorena`s father that was the reason why Augusto sent to kill him, he was controlling his brother`s part and wanted to control Lorena`s father part, that was controlled by her mother. Lorena met a reporter named Fabian Medina, he kissed her the first time he saw her and she slapped him in his face. Fabian wants Lorena to be his Girlfriend, but she tells him that she loves Juan Carlos, Lorena doesn`t know that he is dating Tania for pity, she thinks Juan Carlos loves her. Fabian told Juan Carlos that he is Lorena`s girlfriend and he gets mad. Lorena was working at the Azteca stadium(she met Fabian there)as a public relationship agent. Juan Carlos thinks Lorena got the job so she could be close to Fabian, because he is a soccer reporter. Fabian tells Lorena a good idea for him and for her too in some ways. He asked her to be the Mexican world Cup representative. She agreed and they both travel to Japan. Juan Carlos and the school soccer team traveled too.Juan Carlos finds out that Fabian wants to kidnap Lorena and goes to Japan to tell her. Lorena doesn`t believe him, but what Juan Carlos has told her is true, Fabian kidnapped Lorena and Juan Carlos with the help of Lorena`s friends liberated her. All of them go back to Mexico. Lorena and Juan Carlos were not together, they thought Fabian died when he felt into the river. Fabian went back to Mexico and kidnap Lorena again but this time Juan Carlos goes to help her and Fabian died when he felt from top part the Azteca stadium. The graduation day arrived and Juan Carlos and Lorena were not together yet but at the last moment when Lorena was thinking that Juan Carlos didn`t love her anymore, he gave her a ring and asked her that if she wants to be with him forever, she says Yes. The Telenovela ends when the four friends hold their hands and say that they will be friends forever.Everyone ended up with the person they love: Lorena&Juan Carlos, Paulina&Pato, Fernanda&Diego, Daniela&Toño.

Currently watching "El Juego" on Telefutura.
aaronalmarez7 December 2012
I remember stumbling upon an episode of "El Juego de la Vida" when I was channel surfing one afternoon in September, 2002 and settled on KMEX-34(Univision's L.A./Southern California affiliate). What I saw of that one episode looked good. And after watching that one episode, I decided to start watching this novela. Although "El Juego" had been on for sometime, I continued to watch it but I would only watch it whenever I got the chance. This telenovela introduced me to the many actors(young and old) that comprised the cast such as Valentino Lanus, Ana Layevska, Sara Maldonado, Luis Gimeno, Mariana Karr, Tina Romero, Raul Araiza, Jr. and others for which I would see them act in other telenovelas post and even pre "El Juego de la Vida." For a long time, I had hoped that either Univision would re-air "El Juego" in their late night "Grandes Historias" series or Telefutura because that subnetwork of Univision usually re-airs old telenovelas from Televisa all of the time. And I even looked out for a DVD of this novela for a long time as well. Unfortunately, either network or a DVD of "El Juego" came about. Sometime this past August, I was able to watch "El Juego" on Youtube. I was glad I was able to see the novela from the beginning on this website for which I was able to watch the first 20 episodes. Then about a few months ago, I got word through the website, "Telenovela World" that Telefutura would re-air "El Juego de la Vida" on weekday mornings at 8 a.m. After receiving that information, I was happy that it was returning to TV and I even had the novela set to record on my DVR. And although I saw the first 20 episodes on Youtube previously, I decided to start watching the whole novela again for which I'm also glad I have the opportunity to watch "El Juego" from start to finish. "El Juego de la Vida" was not only the first telenovela for teens that I saw(others such as "Clase 406", "CLAP", "Rebelde", "Codigo Postal", etc. would follow afterwards) but this particular telenovela got me to become a fan of watching telenovelas in general(from either Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia) as well.

Juego de la vida is AMAZING!
JuegoDeLaVidaRox19 July 2002
This is currently my favorite show on t.v. even though I do not speak a word of Spanish. Its easy to follow even if you cant understand what is being said. Margarita Magana is amazing in the role of Ferdinanda and she is also very hot, and Ana Layevska is equaly attractive. Not only is this show very entertaining there are also many hot Mexican Women to look at.

Good and entertaining soap opera
tatinah28 December 2001
This is a mexican soap opera about teenager, love and football. It supposedly is all about soccer, however, very little is shown. The cast is great (for the older cast), however some of the younger cast is really bad, my mom can act better! Anyway, this sopie can keep you entertained for the 30 minutes it lasts. Fridays are the best days.

Great story(Mexican soap opera)
lvargas3411 August 2005
I love this story. I love the characters of Valentino Lanus(Juan Carlos) and Sara Maldonado(Lorena Alvarez). These two actors had great chemistry together, they made this story enjoyable. It's about soccer and romance(and I really don't like soccer)but I sure did enjoy this romantic story. Even if you don't understand Spanish or not fluent in Spanish, this is a easy story to comprehend. I have learned more about speaking Spanish ever since I seen this story. I would love to have this story in DVD, I would love to watch it again. I wish they would make a part two to this great romantic story. I also enjoyed the Music they played, especially the song they played when they played soccer.

A Fun Latin Soap Opera
TBelton129 October 2002
I first started watching this soap opera about 2 months ago; when I started taking Spanish, and it has helped. I only understand about one in every five words but its getting clearer, and of course its fairly easy to follow even if you don't speak the language. Most of the acting talent is quite good, I especially like Mike Biagio he plays the recently blinded and more recently seeing again character and the Seri brothers are both pretty good, Luciano Seri especially.
