Michael Sheen in Heartlands (2002)

FAQ

Heartlands

FAQ

The location shots used to accompany Colin's journey aren't in geographical order. In the back room of his shop, there's a map of Nottinghamshire on the wall, and the power stations place him in south-west Nottinghamshire. To get from there to Blackpool, he'd have to travel north west through Derbyshire. But in the first sequence (before he gets to the pub/campsite), he is seen heading down Winnatt's Pass which takes him from north Derbyshire eastwards towards Sheffield. At least the pub itself (the Strines Inn) is on the western edge of Sheffield, so that makes a little sense.

The place where he finds a 4-way signpost is in west Derbyshire, roughly on his route from Nottinghamshire to Blackpool, but a long way off the route from Sheffield to Blackpool.
