This was an excellent series about the introduction of black people onto mainstream TV in England. From the early days during the 1950s, right through to the 1990s when these programmes were transmitted, the series gives viewers quite a thorough explanation of how black caribbeans were/are portrayed throughout the televised media. There were also interesting and memorable clips from old progammes and TV sitcoms featuring black actors and actresses, along with up to date interviews with some of them, which helped to round off things nicely.

This series wouldn't mean much to anyone living outside of England, but would be entertaining and insightful to someone from the U.K. of West Indian of Asian origin.
