One of American Laser Games few journeys away from the Wild West or being a cop, 'Space Pirates' delivers a unique brand of futuristic cheese and trades in a six shooter for a laser gun. You have to defeat head villian Captain Talon and his Black Brigade of literally 'Space Pirates'.

I'll get right to the point. The change in setting provides atmosphere that is equal parts refreshing and hilarious. You can't take this very seriously. A corny tongue-in-cheek space adventure like a C grade riff on Star Wars. The costumes & characters you encounter are wacky as you bounce around the solar system from world to world trying to retrieve crystals to power a space cannon weapon.

I believe this was the first title I experienced from the company in the arcades in the 90's. It's left a lasting impression on me. Ben Zeller of the 'Mad Dog' titles reappears and it got home console ports naturally. 'Space Pirates' isn't their strongest title but provides all the shooting, humor and bad acting the FMV genre was built upon.
