Goofs

The "Grand Canyon Levitation" illusion, which is one of the few conceived and filmed for the TV audience only since it was not possible to have a live audience, contains some errors of video editing. At the beginning, after David Copperfield passed through a structure with an oval hole to prove he really was floating and there was not any kind of support to keep him raised from the ground, he starts moving forward, also passing under an arch beyond which begins the valley. During this passage under the arch there is a shot change. In the previous shot, which is frontal, Copperfield and the arch appear illuminated by the sun, while in the following one, which is a lateral shot made from a distance with the zoom, both are completely in the shade, and the camera with which the previous frontal shot was filmed is not visible in any place. So, the two shots must necessarily have been filmed at two different times, contrary to what the video editing would have viewers believe. The same error is present towards the end of the illusion: there is a shot which starts zooming the face of Bonnie Tyler during her singing, and when the camera zooms out, Copperfield appears far and still floating on the air, and he comes very slowly. In this shot nothing is visible near him; however, the next one begins showing his face very closely and without any use of zoom. Therefore, these two shots too must necessarily have been filmed at two different times and then combined together in post-production for the TV special.

In the final credits it is written: "asssistant to mr. copperfield - CHRIS GIORDANO", but the word "assistant" is misspelled.
