A Pac-Man Platform Classic
TheMysteriousReviewer27 December 2023
I'll be honest, this was one of the first platform games I have played growing up when I was getting into games. And I think I like it more than the first game. Pac-Man World 2 is a really fun platform classic that turns the world of Pac-Man into 3D a bit more than the first game did. It may not be perfect due to some of the levels/bosses I struggled on, but it cannot stop this from having wacky gameplay, a small but engaging story, fun mazes that pay homage to the classic, and graphics that hold up to this day. Not only would I say it's for those that are like me and are nostalgic for this, but I even say that even Pac-Man fans will have a really good time with this game. Not only for the platform experience, but also for the fun mazes and Easter eggs. Some struggles can hold this from being the best platform game, but definitely a fun game to explore the world of Pac-Man.

This game Rocks!

Warning: Spoilers
This game is probably one of the best classic games I have ever played. It takes place in many different "worlds" and it even has some of the classic characters in it. And what will a pac man game be without the Original ONE.

In the game you can collect tokens that allow you to play the original pac man games which is pretty cool lol so I say should should buy this game for sure, it is a platinum hit so it is probably under $20 right now if you can find it

So what are you waiting for buy the game it is a game for the whole family

Warning: Spoilers
This might sound ridiculous but it's true: this is a brilliantly crafted game! I grew up playing it, so nostalgia may be partially to blame for these feelings of mine. But I honestly think there are few video games that have graced the earth that carry the same playful wonder as Pacman World 2. The game is divided into seven unique biomes (pac-village, forest, treetops, snow mountain, volcano, ocean, and ghost island) and we work progressively towards a climax involving Spooky, the villain. Each level gets harder and anticipation builds. Two of the best things about this game are:

1) the visually appealing landscapes of the game. These range from the lush hills and far-off mountains (the best views are found in the Pac-dot Pond and B-doing Woods levels) to the fabulously sinister bayous of ghost island. And in Pac-village, all you have to do is climb onto a rooftop to behold a pleasant surprise--a grand view.

2) The soundtrack. In the ghost island levels, somehow the music can be both terrifying and whimsical at the same time. "Pinky's Revenge" blends in Pacman's theme with Pinky's in perfect fashion, as if to hint at their complicated relationship. "Shark Attack" feels meditative, "The Bear Basics" feels ageless, "Blade Mountain" is full of that soaring stuff kids' dreams are made of, and "Pac-village" ups one's anticipation for the coming adventure.

It's a challenging game. To this day, I've still never unlocked the museum. In recent years, I've played this game with some younger friends of mine, and we've been hooked for hours simply trying to get past Haunted Boardwalk. We constantly have to wipe the sweat off our hands and off the remote.

The game has a sort of odd whimsy about it (talking trees, floating platforms in the strangest places) and I don't get the fun of seeing that nearly as often as I would like. Pacman World 2 is my all-time favorite video game, if you haven't already guessed.

Best game I have played in the Pac-Man World Series
I love this game so much and I'm glad I got the game even 100%ed the game. Pac-Man is my childhood along with other games I have. I even got the Pac-man World Re-Pac for the Nintendo Switch and been loving it I really hope Pac-Man World 2 and 3 get remakes as well because the Pac-Man World series are amazing, I just hope they make more Pac-Man World games and I would buy all of the games in the series. And I got a tip if you want to 100% the Pac-Man World games take your time in the levels don't rush though them because 100%ing the game is worth it. But the game didn't come out in 2001 it came out in 2002.

Bad game! Bad controls!
kill-the-boxtrolls9 March 2008
Warning: Spoilers
This game is worse then the other pac man's but people like this game, they shouldn't have never made a pac man world like this and then they decided to make a damn 3rd one? The 3rd one looks like its for Nintendo 64 and it confuses the hell out of me. The camera angles are very bad (but I played this game for about 2 years so I can't concerned about what they are...) this game is not suppose to be for smaller children like the other pac man games THIS GAME IS VERY CONFUSING so do not even think of buying this for kids and I had to go all over the place I'm really stuck on a level and I went every where and all over the place and still haven't unlocked me out no do not buy this for kids or small children or it can confuse the small children really bad. After I played this game, I came out the room feeling extremely frustrated so no do not get any pac man world game at any cost!

The actions are very cool though
