That's how the narration starts off, leaving only the question of what this movie is about. Is it in the title? Is it in the words? Is it in the pictures? Can some one tell me?
Which is my principal complaint about this movie, in which the makers assume that we can't figure out what is going on with the scant clues offered. Wait! They mention the fair in every sentence. From which I conclude that this movie is about the poetry of Ed St. Vincent Millay.
James Brill, who is credited with the narration, seems mildly surprised at everything shown on the screen, and mildly pleased, as if he's trying to convince us we're having a good time when we aren't.
