| Plot Summary |
Fair Annoula, the village's belle, is eager to meet the handsome Greek-American expatriate and eligible bachelor, Nick Kab, or Nikolaos Kabouropoulos, unbeknownst to her that her war-hero compatriot, Yannis, is secretly in love with her. Before long, the community organises a welcome feast to celebrate Nick's arrival, and Annoula's future depends on his decision; however, she, too, is utterly unaware that the wealthy and pampered daughter of the village's priest has already set her sights on marrying him. Indeed, Nick chooses her over Annoula, who loses not only the rich potential husband but also Yannis, who is now seeking a better future in Athens. Then, unexpectedly, Annoula wins the lottery, and her life takes a beautiful turn. But, will rich Annoula find happiness? Written by Nick Riganas |
