After staying in BH during the years of war, Mujo Hrle (40), a former biology professor, decides to move with his family to New Zealand. However, before the move he must pass the 'test' at the Resettlement Agency, which he fails, since he and his wife Sena are of the same religion. Mujo now earns a living driving a horse carriage through the streets of Sarajevo. Anka and Josip Grkovic, a young couple who also want to go to New Zealand, live at the other end of town. The fates of these two families start to converge in the villa owned by Ale, a newly made tycoon, who is scared of being assassinated. The situation changes on the day when Mujo is driving Ale in his horse carriage and accidentally prevents an assassination, saving Ale's life. In order to pay him back, the tycoon decides to help Mujo but also to resolve Josip's problem. He suggests that they should change their wives, so that they can finally go to New Zealand as 'mixed marriages'...
