Tribute to Ed Wood?

Duel on Planet Z is pure Cheese with a capital C and it was made to me that.

The movie short is on a smash-cuts short film vest video and it is one of the lesser enjoyable ones on the video. Of course, it seems that perhaps the film was edited for smash cuts or something because I dont recall the space ship or even titles. Rather, the two crew members shot these blobby things that are visible suspended from wires.

The things fire back, some are destroyed, some hit the crew.

There is no dialogue, other then the laser fires, and in general, this seems like Ed Wood tribute hour (in like 2 minutes).

This short spoofs every thing I love about 1950's sci-fi( just wish It had titles.)

The film is on smash cuts super sci-fi and I wish it was at the beginning of the compilation. The film reminds me of one of those old on going movie teaser. ( superman,or the racketeer) Sure its cheese, but its a well done copy of the the 1950's style of sci fi film making, It's only 3 min but spoofs so much .obvious wires, space orbs( tinfoil balls) Lasers, mind altering unexplainable sci fi powers, capt kirk fighting , and when its all over the scene capping scream to the sky of " wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhyyyyy" Plus if you see this movie you must watch you director interview towards the end of smash cuts compilation. The interview is just as fun to watch as the short its self.
