hot and happening movie
kellylcook7716 June 2004
This movie was full of entertainment and left me wondering who would die next. I found it to be not only suspenseful but I also thought it added a lot of humor and witty dialogue. I was especially pleased with the acting from up and coming young star Doug Blimline. His rendition of Evan Knight added a nice twist to the movie. The interplay between Evan's character and the other female characters was really hot and the sexual tension left me craving more. Doug had a great way of capturing the audience and I must admit that I watched all of his scenes twice. It's campy and fun for all audiences! The perfect B movie! I hope to see Doug Blimline in future films and can't wait to join his fan club! Doug Blimline rocks as Evan Knight!!

This is one of the most absurd films i have seen !! A group of beauty girls in a house being watched on a web page. Somebody starts to kill them one by one... Bad acting, stupid situations, horrible music... it looks really like a cheap pornographic film. I can only say something good about this one: I laughed a lot !!!

Pretty decent slasher entry

Warning: Spoilers
"WatchusDie.com" is a really surprising and enjoyable slasher.

**SPOILERS**

Inside a wired house, Amber Coldbath, (Amy Miller) Constance Mercado, (Erin Cottrell) Sonja Wiggins, (Kim Kelly) Francesca Descartes, (Tiffany Remley) Pia St. Clair, (Jenny James) Anya Van Dyke, (Mariangela Spiezia) Sarah Jeffreys, (Cheri Cofer) and Zen Lee, (Lynn Thomas) are living live every single day, and the house is wired for an internet reality show. After a series of strange accidents in the house, owner Manny Falconer, (Peter Vita) decides to bring in replacement Brenna Sterling, (Jennifer Cooper) to live in the dorm. As the others voice their displeasure at the newest invite, she is slowly invited into the group's inner circle. When the guests realize that the accidents were the cause of a psychotic killer, they soon turn on each other as the killer could be everyone. As the revelation is finally revealed to all, they chase the remaining members as the whole world watches the action go down over the internet stream.

The Good News: This here was a nicely surprising film. One of the best aspects is that this does a superb job of keeping the killer a secret for the majority of the film. This one throws in plenty of red herrings to keep things interesting. That it keeps going back and forth between several of them and the techniques used to do so are quite ingenious. The constant back-and-forth actions between them is quite fun, and each one is certainly something that would cause the identity of the killer to be verified. This one even has some great scenes, especially all the chasing at the end and the play-off with the cameras watching it over the internet. That itself is one of the best things about the film. This is pretty much integral and the way that there's the voyeurs watching who are completely unaware of the fact that it is a real killer of a put-on to spike ratings. That central theme is reinforced time and again, which is quite true through all the different tricks that allow the guests to see what's going on but keeping the viewers out of the loop. That puts a lot of suspense in the later half of the film when it all starts going. The fact that the film is quite watchable whenever it doesn't concern itself with the other horror elements is a great trick. This one is able to keep a consistent pace that allows for some enjoyment from it as this one never really bogs down in useless areas is a great way to keep it moving along. There's some nice humor and jokes in here that add more to the enjoyment, and the killer itself, in the few scenes it's shown, has a pretty elegant mask. It's a very slick white mask with black lipstick and a black hood, and the first time it's scene is a great shock. It's just too bad as it wasn't on-screen that often, and overall this is a really fun slasher.

The Bad News: There isn't a whole lot here that doesn't work. One of the big ones is that there's hardly any blood or gore in here at all. These are all quite bloodless kills, and with their being so few inventive kills in here, the lack of splatter is all the more noticeable. That this would've affected the film much is a testament to the film and it's strengths. The other big flaw is the apparent cheapness of the film. There is obviously nothing really spectacular that proves this was a really expensive film. The film takes place in one location, nothing ever huge or grandiose happens, and that there's a distinct feeling to it that offers this makes it seem like a really weak film. It's slightly annoying that the mask was only used for like three or four kills since it is such an awesome mask, yet this is a rather moot point. However, the mask doesn't give you the impression of a big scary killer, but rather a small timid killer. These are the main things wrong with the film.

The Final Verdict: While not entirely new or all that bloody, this is still a fun and entertaining slasher that is quite surprising. If it sounds like fun or are a die-hard slasher fanatic, this here is a nice recommendation to those, while the fans who want more frightening or more tradition fare are advised to seek caution.

Rated R: Language, Full Nudity and Violence
