Downbeat crime thriller from Turkey
Leofwine_draca24 July 2016
Warning: Spoilers
A melodramatic Turkish crime thriller which offers well-shot action, strong characters and an appropriate score to make it a worthwhile watch. This typically hard-boiled story packs a mean punch in its downbeat tale of a man's life spiralling out of control when he joins a gang of drug runners and finds himself up against a crippled police detective with a vendetta against him. Also mixed into the brew are his wife and unborn child who find themselves in danger from local thugs and his new crime partners. Good use is made of some Turkish locations and for a change the acting is spot-on, especially with the slick Yilmaz Guney (THE TRAITORS) taking on the leading role of the good guy turned bad. The bad guys themselves are typically slimy or weaselly whilst the actress playing Guney's wife overacts for all her worth, along with most of the cast at one time or another.

Highlights include an extended episode of exotic belly dancing and a punch-up which ensues between Guney and the two would-be rapists. However, these scenes are no match for the powerhouse finale which chronicles a fierce fight to the death between Guney and three enemies in the cramped room of a suburban house. It's an expertly-choreographed fight, packed with bloody bullet hits, stabbings and heroic bloodshed. A wonderful conclusion to a solid enough thriller from our Turkish cousins.

Ugliness.

Warning: Spoilers
Ugliness. He leaves the woman as soon as they are abducting the woman. He's leaving. We see that the village or the city is always the same mind. Always the same masculinity.

Yilmaz would kill the two of them if he didn't know that the boy was his own. A killer.

The cat scene in prison was very interesting and different. Although it is harmful to give milk without dilution.
