A film that was shot on early handheld 16mm technology, Sirius Remembered is a tribute to a man's pet dog. The film is a blurry and disorientating collaboration that was shot over a period of about six months. Once the dog died, the man put the carcass into the woods and came back periodically with his camera and filmed it in various stages of decomposition. He did this project with the notion of honoring his beloved pet, but it is a very distasteful tribute. The amount of footage shot adds up to about ten minutes, yet the film is twenty minutes long, meaning that the footage is looped and played again. Finally, if you have a weak stomach, but can handle the disgusting images of the dog, you may want to be warned that the jittering camera can make you sick. You definately need to be a bit disturbed to truly enjoy this film!
