TV series of my childhood, of my parents childhood also. I feel warm around my heart every time I hear ''sugavo babino''. The thinking way of Serbian normal, down-to-earth, peasant woman is masterfully brought to screen. The clash between human, rural & honest and depraved, false & petty-bourgeois is colorful, funny, and leaves unforgettable impression. Once you see this, granny Tomanija will be an image of Serbian beloved peasant granny. TV series was a huge success in Yugoslavia, and 30 years later - in Serbia. Pity they didn't film more episodes, more seasons.

Radmila Savicevic was by far the biggest actress of Yugoslavia. Sharp in her tongue, witty, clever, funny, not only strong-willed, but also strong physically, great cook, dear, adorable, charming. She was THE granny of the nation, and here she is at her best. Enjoy!
