I was quite moved by the lives of the young and teenage children depicted in this documentary. It appears to have been done with much thought to their stressful situation, and gives the viewer insight to a horrible war time consequence.

There's a kernel of a great documentary here, but Children: Kosovo 2000 could have been twice as powerful if it had been about a third the length. The film frequently strays from its purported subject matter (children), lingers unpleasantly on certain interview subjects, and piles on unnecessary found or home movie footage. At times it is magnificent, and the decision to film in black and white was a wise one, but by the final half hour the point has been made--effectively--and it's a case of diminishing returns.
