This extremely comprehensive 87-minute behind-the-scenes documentary covers a lot of interesting and illuminating ground on the making of the low-budget indie splatter horror opus "Killing Spree." Among the topics covered are casting, auditions, shooting the movie over the course of twelve days during an extremely hot summer in August, and the devising and executing of various outrageous gory set pieces. Moreover, we also learn that lead actress Courtney Lercara had to be flown in from California, the cast and crew averaged 14 to 16 hours per day, and a nighttime burial scene had to be reshot. Worth a watch for fans of the film.

start off dull but it gets better

This feature length documentary hosted by Debbie Rochon which can be found on the DVD of "Killing Spree" focuses on the making of that aforementioned film and an overview of Twisted Illusion productions as a whole. The first half is a bit too cut and dry for my liking and seems way too general for my tastes. The second half is better and is actually informative, but wow even in documentaries the people can be extremely wooden. And what the hell is this martial arts comedy that Tom Ritter is talking about in one of the interview clips? Furthermore some of the documentary is EXTREMELY pompous and long-winded.
