In some dungeons, if Link gets touched by a flake of magic that can turn him into a rabbit if he's wearing the blue or red armor, his armor will revert back to his green cloth until he transforms back into human.
After the boss Moldorm of the third level Tower of Hera in the Light World is defeated, the Light World dungeon theme continues playing if the player revisits the 6th Floor (5th in PAL versions) the battle takes place, but restarts from the beginning if the player falls into the manhole on the edges or the inner one.
In early copies of the North American version, when Link lifts a Black Rock on the island at Lake Hylia that reveals a portal to the Dark World, the sound effect used for hidden passages was absent. This is fixed in later copies of the game.
In the game's instruction manual showing the SNES controller and diagram of its buttons and controls, the L Button is referred to just as "Button", sans the letter L.
After the player's Heart Containers all go empty, resulting in a Game Over (unless link has a fairy in one of the bottles), out of the three options regarding to saving progress, continuing, and/or quitting the game, the third option reads "Do Not Save And Continue". It should be "Do Not Save, But Continue" and since the manual and Game Boy Advance port of this game accurately refers to it as "Continue Without Saving".
The artwork of Link looking at the Tower of Hera shows him on a narrow path near the edge and the dungeon itself being near the edge of a cliff seemingly several feet high. In the game, the surroundings before reaching the Tower of Hera are wider than the artwork depicts and the ground below where the tower sits is only one story of leaping distance.
After Link grabs the Master Sword, the soldiers abduct Princess Zelda from the Sanctuary and bring her to the tower of Hyrule Castle before Link slashes away the electrifying barrier that blocks entry to the tower of Hyrule Castle, where Agahnim later sends her to the Dark World when Link arrives on the scene.
Many artworks of Princess Zelda depict her in a casual blue dress, including a scene where she and Link go through the sewer passageway, while there is alternate solo artwork of her in her royal dress. In the game, she wears her royal dress regardless of the game's plot.
Link's artworks depict him with very light-brown hair in the artworks, but his in-game sprites depict him with pink hair.
The Moon Pearl once obtained from the third dungeon - the Tower of Hera in the Light World is intended to prevent Link from transforming into a rabbit any time he transports into the Dark World. Despite this, he will temporarily transform into a rabbit for a few seconds once he touches the magical beams that can be found hidden underneath Skulls in the dungeons of the Dark World, so this hardly makes sense since Moon Pearls are intended to make Link immune to the effects of the Golden Power under Ganon while in the Dark World.
