Christina and Chrysoula are two teenage friends in Zakynthos and they are completely different as characters. Christina is ugly but honest, while Chrysoula is beautiful, but scandalizes the neighborhood with her provocative behavior.

In 1930s Zakynthos, two friends, the poor but honest Christina, and the wealthy but frivolous Chrysoula, are like night and day. However, when Christina accidentally sees Chrysoula flirting with her crush, the handsome young man, Menegis, everything turns upside down, and the two antagonists decide to put an abrupt end to their friendship. As one thing leads to another, much to her disappointment, Christina's brother, Nionios, too, falls head-over-heels in love with Chrysoula; however, their happiness is short-lived. Defeated, Chrysoula reunites with her old friend, only to make an unexpected discovery, and face a shocking truth. Will things ever be the same again?—Nick Riganas
