Trivia | Many people identify this film as being the very first sound film produced in Egypt. Because it was released almost simultaneously with The Elite (Walad el Dhawat) by Youssef Wahbi, others refer to it as "one of the first". It was a musical, so this also makes it the first Egyptian musical. Because Egypt did not yet have sound technology at the time it was made, it was necessary to record the sound in France.
