Summaries

  • Teenagers Marie and Jeff are at an uncertain stage of their dating life. While they have not dated anyone else in some time, they have not talked about if they are indeed exclusive or going steady, although all their friends just assume that they are. As such, no one else in their social circle will ask Marie out on a date, and any other girl in their social circle that Jeff would ask would most-likely decline in deference to Marie. While Marie likes Jeff more than any other boy, she isn't sure if he's the one. And while she eagerly awaits his calls, she doesn't really appreciate that Jeff will often just show up unannounced expecting her to be there while at the same time likes when she does see him. Jeff also feels much the same about Marie in liking her more than any other girl, but doesn't know even if he is at a stage where he is mature enough to consider the notion of going steady.—Huggo
  • Jeff and Marie have been dating for a while, and come to the realization that they might be considered to be "going steady." They ponder the significance of that situation, while Marie's mother worries that Jeff might feel that going steady may entitle him to "take liberties" with her virginal (but seemingly not happy about it) daughter.—frankfob2@yahoo.com
