Well, that's to put it crudely of this film set in a dilapidated factory in some part of rural France with an all-male cast...

To tell it more is to ruin the delightful surprises of the film... What I find it most interesting is the gradual shift from the theme of male-bonding to, well, male-understanding. And at 50 or so minutes, that makes the film all the more succinct and satisfying.
