Trivia Almost a year after the close of the 1958 Exposition, Gaston Schoukens combined news footage he shot during the six memorable months of the World's Fair with extracts from his previous films to create two separate works, "A Fantastic Weekend" and "La Belgique joyeuse". He explained: "I believe that the time has now come for nostalgia and that people will enjoy seeing once again the sights, now disappeared, that they visited last year." See more »
