The film deals with the distances that separate a Bulgarian man and a Turkish woman, set in the midst of the communist party campaign to change the Muslim names and forbid all Muslim traditions of the Turkish and Pomak population in Bulgaria; nearly 300.000 people fled to Turkey in the summer of 1989.—Georgi Djulgerov
