The Artists' Dream (1899)

A man is sitting in a chair when two women suddenly appear. This gets his attention and he stands out to grab them but each time he goes for them they disappear and then reappear at a different place.

This here certainly won't be mistaken for the work of Georges Melies but it's a mildly entertaining rip-off of his work. The magic film was certainly in full bloom by 1899 so we were getting them from countless countries. This one certainly isn't the best but it's not all that bad. The magic trick looks real enough and at just a minute it's certainly not going to take much time to sit through.
