The Odd Couples
boblipton23 February 2021
Babe London has been conducting a correspondence with James Harrison for years. When her sister, Dorothy Devore, slips a picture of herself into one of her letters, Harrison shows up, matrimony in mind. The hefty Miss London not being anything like Miss Devore, they dress the younger sister as a child.... which confuses Harrison not too long.

This short also has the diminutive Billy Bletcher as the family butler, in a rough-and-tumble courtship with the huge Blanche Payson, the wife of choice for all screen comedians looking for an oppressive wife. Although the movie is carried ably on the charms of everyone - Harrison aside - the unfortunately forgotten Miss Devore once again demonstrates her abilities at realistic clowning. In short, it's a lot of fun.
