This was a captivating and beautifully made stop-motion animation.

I loved the stylish aesthetic used in each one of the characters from this short, which fits perfectly well with the simple, but enchanting nature of the plot. The music from this short is quite beautiful, too.

"The Lion and the Song" uses in a wonderful way some of the common archetypes from fables and fairy tales, with magnificent results.

Personally, I think that this short is way too underrated, pretty much like the other works directed by the great Czech animator Bretislav Pojar. I highly recommend this animation to anyone.
