Charlie Sheen, Denise Richards, and Angie Harmon in Good Advice (2001)

Goofs

Good Advice

Edit

Continuity

When Ryan is talking to Page in her office about Cindy's medical condition she hands him a white coffee mug with black stripes. In a close-up, the mug has changed to a white one with a square picture on one side (the one Page took). It subsequently changes back again.
As Ryan is leaving Page's office after telling her about Cindy's condition he is holding the coffee mug she gave him. When we see him in the next shot he is no longer holding the mug.
When Ryan is talking with Page over drinks/contract discussions, the camera moves in and out from Ryan/Page to Page. In the switch between close-up and distant shots, you see locks of hair dangling near Page's face in the close-ups, but, in the distant shots, her hair is perfectly set.
When Page and Ryan chase after Cindy (after she threatens to go to the networks) Ryan's hair is mussed up and his shoes are untied. When he and Paige get to the street Ryan's hair is combed and his shoes are tied.

Factual errors

After Ryan's disastrous trade on false inside information, the voice-over of the SEC proceeding indicates that the agency won't pursue a criminal prosecution but will revoke Ryan's brokerage license. The SEC can refer cases to the Justice Department, but it cannot pursue or decide whether the government should pursue criminal proceedings.

Revealing mistakes

When Charlie Sheen lifts the covers to get out of bed after sex with Denise Richards, he already has his underwear on.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

When Cathy gets a telephone call in her yoga class we hear a Nokia tone, but she has got a Motorola telephone in her hand.
When Lisa Rinna yells "Don't stop!" while in bed with Charlie Sheen, she's visibly not saying anything.

Character error

Angie Harmon's character is spelt Page Henson in the credits but she is called Page Hensen on her desk sign in the movie.
