Aaj Ke Shahenshah review :
Another multistarrer from director Shibu Mitra after his ranga-rang hit Naaka Bandi in the same year, Aaj Ke Shahenshah clashed with Amitabh Bachchan's Aaj Ka Arjun in August 1990 which affected its box office prospects.
Jeetendra and Raj Babbar are friends turned foes after both fall for Kimi Katkar and then Raj rapes her in a drunken state. Kimi disappears and the enemity continues till their bhai-behen Chunky and Sonam also fall in love. At this point, Kimi returns and tries to reunite the young lovers..
A typical masala fare aimed at the masses; the plot was repeated with a few changes here and there in Talat Jani's Taaqat (1995) as well as Ramesh Sippy's Zamaana Deewana (1995). Both those films flopped as well!!
