Several of the pitch people seen in the film have passed on including Arnold Morris, Lester Morris, Ed McMahon, Chester Nairne and Roman Prince.
Ever since its release, "Pitch People" has been used by salespeople to hone their skills.
During the 2020 pandemic, taking on restoring the film would be a way of occupying down time. When the film's 35mm inter-positive A/B rolls were pulled out of storage, it discovered they were damaged by the clear leader used to checkerboard the shots. However, the original Super 16mm film A/B rolls remained undamaged. The original Kodak Vision Super 16mm negative was scanned to 5K and those files, in the hands of talented film restorationists with powerful digital tools, were used to resurrect the entire film.
Filming was done over three years beginning in 1996 and completed in 1998.
