Cute Movie!!
Irina_4921 October 2006
A classically cute, black and white comedy! A strong willed girl trying to make a difference at her fox farm goes to town to file a complain. With witty remarks loaded and her energy ahead of her this is a movie you want to see to the end.

She meets a man along the way. Wickedly exciting story set in the soviet union, during the late 30's.

With misunderstandings, twist and turns and a sprinkle of fate, this movie is a wonderful family or romantic film. Highly recommended for Classical Film lovers.

The language is in Russian, and I have no idea if they have any dubbed in English.

Warning: Spoilers
In spite of the ending missing and my version was a worn print it was still funny. A women who runs a farm wants to run away to the city. There is an opposition to this , The head of the farming collective wants to stop her. they go after her, She sneaks into a train, that just stopped, since she can't afford the fare. She runs around the ticket man to avoid him. She ends up hiding in a Pullman car up in a top large closet with these two male characters who are talking about something. The dining car you got a lot of character. Those two that was in that car,A fat man who just drinks beer all day long. Those two men criticize him and he defends himself. It seems in those commie days a ticket included food. Everyone is either drinking beer, coffee or champagne. Earlier another women comes in losses her ticket and i.d. A sailor come in and picks it up. The blonde actress goes into the room cause she thinks it's safe. She's caught by surprise but he thinks this is her identity. She later goes to the dining car and the sailor is suppose to be with her but he has to go somewhere, Those two guys he ends up in their car first, shows up. She gets nervous and gets out of the car, The head begs her that if she helped him out as a waiter she makes some money. Well the ticket man after her she goes back and becomes a waitress. The ticket man can't get her . The boy friend shows up and can't understand whats going on . She later reveals the problem. When they end up in the city, as the sailor finds a taxi, she confused for an employee of some job. The boyfriend losses her and she ends up working in a fur shop. The boy friend goes to the lost and found and comforts a kid ,who lost his mom . then the film ends abruptly. This was an ad on to the incomplete Frau Luna . I wasn't bother by the incomplete. I wonder what happen. There was that political correct propaganda. Everybody getting along no body hurting any body feelings . In Russia back then, all negative speech and expression of what the government viewed as positive was legal. This is what the Frankfurt institute in the United state was all about .Communist censorship and oppression. It was also criticizing the big city and showing how peasants were better. The Russian movie goes were probably still starving to death to thanks to Stalin. It was still good.Since I did no understand Russian this might not of been the story. 09/6/11
