Edo Rapeman, set during Japan's Edo period, looks more like Birdman than Rapeman by way of Batman.
This entry, following on the heels of eight contemporary Rapeman movies, veers more towards camp shennanigans and brainless hijinks than the darker causes the Rapeman movies examined (especially the last few).
Everything takes place on sets and Edo Rapeman, played by the same actor, looks more silly than sinister.
The opening title sequence shows Edo Rapeman scooting across rooftops like Batman and hurling what could easily be his Bat Boomerang.
A sequel followed.
