A very easy-on-the-eye cast highlights this typical Antonio Adamo feature, made for the brief collaboration of Euro giant Private and U.S. media company Penthouse, set in the fashion world. He would return to the subject for a pair of movies titled "Babe" several years later during his daring! Media phase.
Shot in English on location in Budapest, the lush-looking production exemplifies an era in Adult Cinema when budgets were ample (as witness the teaming up of P & P across two continents for this series). Adamo emphasizes concise sex scenes, spreading 8 over the film's 100-minute span, and his beautiful actress/models just can't stop looking at the camera. That POV trademark can get a bit old, but an AA fan gets used to it, or would have stopped watching the prolific auteur's works in a hurry.
Kate More stars and narrates with not much in the way of story but rather interpersonal situations, most of which lead to sexual couplings. The lavish look includes a scene set (as homage) at "Rick's Cafe Americain", and there is a general air of quality and craftsmanship that makes one wonder what AA might have produced had he tried his hand at mainstream filmmaking, without the crutch of explicit sex inserted at periodic intervals.
Ultimately this feature adopts a cynical stance, celebrating the age-old motto of "the end justifies the means". It fits the glossy world being depicted, and certainly is not foreign to the porn industry.
