It should have run for an Academy Nominee

I really don't understand what must a movie has to get an Academy nominee. This film, this real masterpiece, has EVERYTHING. Interesting plot, fantastic dialogues and most of all wonderful acting. Yiorgos Petroheilos and Agis Gyftopoulos remind me of Pacino and De Niro but i was amazed by Aris Tsaheiridis. He was the baddest bad guy we have ever seen. He is a real mean machine. Also note the small but characteristic part of the genius Kostas Makedos, specially at the scene where he is biting the chain! If you are a fan of action or cult movies you MUST have this in your collection. The only disappointing thing for me is that there was no sequel of this great production. Unfortunately, they don't make films like that anymore.

Masterpiece

If God was a director this would have been his masterpiece! The directing is superb, the acting sublime, the story a true punch in society's gut. The story follows a group of youngsters that get involved and spiral down into the darkness of football hooliganism ultimately leading to their utter demise. George Petroheilos' dance scene is a moment of poetic excellence and his dance moves should be taught in every modern dance school.
