Very attractive and well-shaped scenes
deickemeyer3 April 2018
There are some very attractive and well-shaped scenes in this, including the chief one showing the masquerade ball. But the plot itself has a conventional and "made up" effect in its impression on the observer; hence, the lack of suspense. One of the most interesting moments was when the girl recognized her dancing partner as the crook by the cigarette stains on his fingers. - The Moving Picture World, January 24, 1914
