This film's first documented telecast took place in New York City Friday 7 July 1939 on pioneer experimental broadcasting station W2XBS; it was the 2nd feature film to be so telecast, preceded two days earlier, Wednesday 5 April 1939, by Hallelujah I'm a Bum aka Heart of New York (1933) which was the first documented feature film telecast in New York City; during the next decade it was occasionally re-broadcast on the same station, now using the call letters WNBT (Channel 4). In the post-WWII era, it first aired in Syracuse Friday 1 April 1949 on WHEN (Channel 8) and in Washington DC Wednesday 27 April 1949 on WMAL (Channel 7).
