This comedy series was actually made by ITV in 1959, its title cashing in on the success of the then-recent film hit "Room At The Top". However, it was never shown until 1964, by which time its leading actor, Lionel Jeffries, had become famous in films. The chief publicity given the show, however, was that it had been directed by Dick Lester, who, in the interim five years, had become a film director and who had, as Richard Lester, recently become very famous as the director of the gigantic hit "A Hard Day's Night", starring the Beatles.
